At the very deep ends of my heart,
In a place where emotions are raw,
Where feelings are unedited,
At Love’s nest and launching pad,
And where passions reign free,
With indomitable force,
Lies this unwavering, unflickering
Tiny, little flame
that simply,
Won’t go away, won’t quit, won’t die.
It just continues to burn and churn,
Steadily and stubbornly,
With overwhelming heat
And unstoppable intensity,
No matter what, no matter when.
Its serene hues of blue and yellow
Are stunningly beautiful,
Its blinding reds and oranges
Are awesome and powerful.
Thus, I ask myself,
What is life without our tiny little flame?
What are we without it?
Well, we either
live a life in Black and White
or one in full Technicolor,
with our inner fire endlessly burning within.
At the very deep ends of my heart,
Filled with emotions, passions, feelings and love,
Lies this unwavering, unflickering
Tiny, little flame
That simply,
Won’t go away,
No matter what, no matter when,
It simply won’t quit,
It simply won’t die,
It never waivers,
It never flickers,
It never ends.
